I bought this camera on 10 Jan 2008 at sungai wang. I like this camera because of the huge LCD display to show the pictures brilliantly on the huge 3.0 in. (7.6 cm) wide-angle viewing LCD.Whether you shoot your pictures vertically or horizontally, view them right side up with auto picture rotation.

The Kodak EasyShare M883 is a thin and very stylish camera with some nice features, such as the Face Detection, Kodak Perfect Touch technology,as well as ISO and white balance presets. ISO sensitivities extend to 3200, but I wouldn't recommend shooting above ISO 400 unless you're a fan of a little graininess. However, there is a real problem with the noise in all of the photographs even at the lowest ISO settings. This really takes away from the quality of the images that it captures. There is digital image stabilization, but it is the poor cousin of optical image stabilization and is of limited use. That, combined with the less than average performance, mainly due to the slow write speed to the SD memory card, further lessens the appeal of this consumer camera.

After consideration of this problems, i found that within the low range digital camera, its performance and image quality can be consider as above average. In the bright condition, the pictures taken were good even using the auto mode. However, there was a very high noise level that is not acceptable for taking photos at night.
